Registrations, accreditations and insurance

What each registration means for you, and how to check it yourself.

NAPIT registered

NAPIT is a government-approved competent person scheme. As a registered electrician I can self-certify notifiable work, such as a new consumer unit or new circuits, under Part P of the Building Regulations. The work is registered with your local building control and you receive the compliance certificate.

You can check my registration on the NAPIT website using registration no. 62702.

SafeContractor Gold

SafeContractor checks contractors' health and safety policies, risk assessments, insurance and working practices. Gold level is the highest standard, and is often required by housing associations, councils and facilities managers.

SafeContractor is a member scheme of SSIP, so approval also means I am SSIP assessed. Ref. QX6638.
